The Fellowship of Christian Athletes has teamed up with Chris Spielman to create a series of annual football games, called the Spielman Gridiron Classic. The purpose of the games is to showcase high profile high school football teams, as well as create community awareness for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Breast Cancer research. It is also intended to be an event that is wholesome and fun for the whole family while benefiting the communities of Central Ohio.
The 2nd Annual Spielman Gridiron Classic games will take place on Friday, September 4th with Hilliard Darby hosting Dublin Jerome and Saturday, September 5 with Reynoldsburg hosting Cleveland Glenville. The program will include a short speech from Chris Spielman at halftime and a trophy presentation to the winner and runner-up at the end of the game.
The net proceeds from the Spielman Gridiron Classic will go to benefit the the Central Ohio Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
The Spielman Gridiron Classic games are open to the public. Advance tickets are available through the athletic departments at Reynoldsburg and Hilliard Darby High Schools.
